Palisades Community Renewal Center

The Picerne Family Foundation created the Palisades Community Renewal Center to help individuals and families recover, reconnect, and rebuild following the devastating 2025 Palisades wildfires.
In response to an extraordinary community need, the Picerne Family Foundation established the PCRC as a place where people affected by the fires can find meaningful support as recovery continues. The Center brings together free professional counseling, creative arts, wellness activities, and community programs designed to promote healing, connection, and resilience.
Working with experienced nonprofit partners and community leaders, the Foundation has created a flexible community resource that can continue to respond as the needs of individuals, families, and the community evolve.
How the program works.

Counseling Services
The Foundation engaged Maple Counseling to provide free professional mental health services at PCRC for people impacted by the Palisades wildfires. Licensed clinicians provide individual and family therapy, support groups, and assistance connecting people with the care they need.
Arts Programming & Communitty Events
Arts, wellness, and community programs provide opportunities for children, teens, adults, and families to connect, express themselves, manage stress, and support their well-being. Workshops, classes, gatherings, and special events create a welcoming environment for connection, mutual support and renewal throughout the recovery process.

A Foundation Response to Community Need
Following the January 2025 Palisades wildfires, the Foundation drew on its experience in mental health, community development, and philanthropy, along with longstanding relationships with nonprofit partners and the resources of The Picerne Group to create a place focused on the emotional and social dimensions of recovery.
The Foundation continues to fund and manage PCRC in collaboration with nonprofit partners and community leaders, with programs designed to evolve as the needs of the community change over the course of recovery.
PCRC reflects the Picerne Family Foundation’s longstanding approach to philanthropy: identify an important need, draw on the Foundation’s experience and relationships, invest in capable people and organizations, and provide the resources and flexibility needed to create a meaningful response.
