Accessibility

The Picerne Family Foundation believes everyone should be able to access our work, our programs, and our story, regardless of ability. Accessibility isn't an afterthought here. It's something we've built into the site from the ground up.

How we've approached this. Throughout this site, we've made specific, intentional choices to support accessibility, including:

• Color combinations and text sizing designed to maintain strong contrast and readability
• Full keyboard navigation, so the site can be used without a mouse
• Descriptive alt text on images, so screen readers can convey what's being shown
• A clear, logical heading structure, so the site is easy to navigate with assistive technology
• Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and devices

Our standard. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely used to evaluate website accessibility.

An ongoing commitment. Accessibility isn't something we consider finished. As we add new content and features to this site, we review them against these same standards, and we welcome feedback that helps us do better.
