Ken Picerne is President and Chairman of The Picerne Group, a privately held company with more than thirty years of experience in apartment acquisition and investment, apartment development, distressed debt investment, and land development and entitlement. Throughout those years, The Picerne Group built its success on a simple premise: that acting with integrity and social responsibility leads to both personal success and a thriving community.

That premise extended naturally into Ken Picerne's own giving. Long before the Foundation existed, he was already making significant investments in nonprofits and individuals, helping people grow so they could make their own contribution to a healthy society. In 2004, he formalized that work by forming the Picerne Family Foundation as an independent private operating foundation, built to apply The Picerne Group's investment strategies to philanthropic ends.

Behind every program is one goal, and a handful of values that never change.

The Foundation's goal is to create, develop, and support unique, innovative programs that create impact and lasting value for both the individual and the community.

A thoughtful, passionate commitment to philanthropy
Innovative, entrepreneurial approaches to addressing social needs
Leveraging investments to create greater social impact
Creating opportunities for talented individuals to excel and give back to their communities
Building healthy communities everywhere
Vision Initiatives: We fund the specific project a mental health professional or nonprofit leader has been wanting to build, with money and hands-on guidance to help build it.
