Two High School AP Teachers Selected for 2014/15 GSP

The Picerne Family Foundation has selected two high school AP science teachers from Orange County, California to participate with students in the Global Sustainability Project in 2014/15. Amelia Strickland from Orange High School and Dolores Dang-Wright from Dana Hills High School in Dana Point have been selected because of their demonstrated leadership in environmental sustainability. After conducting an intensive yearlong study program for 11 students, the teachers will accompany them for a ten-day Earthwatch research expedition to a South African game reserve. In addition the teachers will organize and lead the students in a 40 hour volunteer effort to provide service to a local ecological nonprofit or conservancy or conduct environmental research at a university.
