Two High School AP Teachers Selected for 2013/14 GSP

The Foundation has selected two high school AP science teachers from Orange County, California to participate with students in the Global Sustainability Project in 2013/14. Lisa Kerr from San Clemente High and Candace Leuthold from Early College High in Costa Mesa have been selected as a result of their demonstrated leadership in environmental sustainability. After conducting an intensive year-long study program for 10-11 students , the teachers will accompany them for a ten day Earthwatch expedition to a South African game reserve. In addition the teachers will organize and lead the students in a 40 hour volunteer effort to provide service to a local ecological nonprofit or conservancy.
