Shirley Cole – Seamstress, Clothing Designer
Project: Sewing projects with inner city teens at North County Lifeline.


Sue Diaz – Professional Writer, Author, and Freelance Journalist
Project: Writing workshops for service men & women who are home from deployment at the Veteran’s Center in San Diego.


Tim Harlan – Glass Artist and Teaching Artist
Project: Hands-on glass art projects with seniors, teens, and children at LifeSTEPS low income housing sites.


Joel Harris – Mixed Media Artist and Illustrator
Project: Art expression injured service men and women at Scripps Brain Injury and Rehabilitation Facility, and the VA Hospital in San Diego.


Jane LaFazio – Mixed Media Artist and Teaching Artist
Project: Hands-on art-based projects focused on art, natural sciences, and international culture for low-income youth at Escondido Children’s Museum.

Project: Individual and group knitting instruction for low-income seniors the Vista Senior Center.

Project: Hands-on visual art projects focused on “Wishes and Dreams” for children ages 6 to 14 at The Boys and Girls Club, Encinitas.

Project: Sing along programs for assisted care seniors who are unable to leave their residences at four skilled nursing facilities in North County San Diego.


Richard Rivera – Sword Combat Choreographer, Nationally Recognized Writer and Producer
Project: Staged sword performance art using the works of authors such as Shakespeare, Rostand, Dumas with low income youth living in a rural location at Valley Center Library.

Project: Visual arts with children who have been removed from home because of abuse and neglect living at Casa de Amparo in Oceanside.
